Austin T. Hetrick is an associate in Dowd Bennett’s Chicago office. Before joining the firm, Austin clerked for Judge Manish S. Shah of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and for Judge Thomas L. Kirsch II of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. In between his clerkships, he worked for nearly two years as regulatory counsel in the Division of Examinations at the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. Austin graduated Order of the Coif from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was a member of the Virginia Law Review editorial board. Austin earned a Ph.D. in English literature from the University of Virginia before attending law school.
