Kim Berve represents individuals and companies at the trial and appellate level in various areas of commercial litigation. She has litigated cases that involve oil and gas interests, breach of contract, trade secret and non-compete violations, antitrust issues, breach of fiduciary duty, and product liability. She also researches and drafts complex motions and briefs for all stages of litigation on behalf of our firm’s individual and corporate clients.
Before joining Dowd Bennett, Kim served as a law clerk to The Honorable John Daniel Dailey of the Colorado Court of Appeals. Most recently, Kim was staff counsel at Wheeler Trigg O’Donnell LLP in Denver.
Represents a Denver-based value-added reseller in the technology field in a lawsuit against former sales agents for alleged breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secrets under the Colorado Uniform Trade Secrets Act, and conversion, among other claims.
Represented two publicly traded oil and gas exploration companies in a dispute involving breach of contract, tortious interference, and overriding royalty claims related to an asset in the Wind River Basin, Wyoming.
Assisted in representing an independent oil and gas exploration company in a multi-million dollar overriding royalty interest arbitration against a publicly traded company in connection with the purchase of properties in the Uintah Basin, Utah.
