Arin H. Smith is an accomplished litigator with a strong track record of success at both the trial and appellate level. Arin routinely represents clients in a broad range of industries, including financial and medical services, manufacturing, and education in a variety of disputes in courts and arbitration tribunals across the country. She has drafted and argued winning dispositive motions in complex cases before federal and state courts nationwide, securing favorable outcomes for her clients at critical pretrial stages. Arin handles all aspects of litigation, including case strategy, dispositive motion practice, fact and expert discovery, trial preparation, and appeals.

In her appellate practice, Arin has authored persuasive briefs and contributed to high-stakes appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, the Missouri Supreme Court, and the Eastern District of Missouri Court of Appeals. Her work has been instrumental in upholding numerous trial court victories, reflecting her strategic insight and command of appellate advocacy.

Before joining Dowd Bennett, Arin was a Senior Associate at WilmerHale in the District of Columbia, where she honed her legal skills and gained valuable experience in complex civil litigation matters. Arin also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Royce C. Lamberth of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia and the Honorable David B. Sentelle of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
