Philip A. Cantwell concentrates his practice on successfully resolving complex commercial disputes.  Phil handles all aspects of litigation, including case strategy preparation, discovery, dispositive motion practice, trial, and appeal.  He routinely represents financial services, industrial, and medical services firms in a variety of disputes in courts and arbitration tribunals across the country.

Before joining Dowd Bennett, Phil was a litigation and restructuring associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP.  Before that, Phil clerked for the Honorable Deborah L. Cook of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Phil presently serves on the Boards of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri and The Migrant and Immigrant Community Action Project.
