Huge Victory for Dowd Bennett Client

Terry O’Toole of Dowd Bennett LLP successfully represented a disabled veteran in his nearly 50 year quest for benefits.  Two years ago the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs recognized our client’s entitlement to benefits, but refused to grant him past-due benefits any earlier than his most recent application for them, 2007.  Mr. O’Toole convinced the VA to extend our client’s benefits back to 1983, thus our client was awarded more than $249,000 (30 years of unpaid benefits) from the VA.
