Gabriel Gore honored as St. Louis Business Journal’s 2020 Diversity and Inclusion Civic Leader

Dowd Bennett partner Gabriel Gore was named the St. Louis Business Journal’s 2020 Diversity and Inclusion Civic Leader and was recognized with other honorees with a virtual awards event on September 29.  Gabe has used his leadership skills in the key areas of diversity and inclusion on a number of projects critical to the region.  He was a founder of the KIPP School in St. Louis City and currently serves as chair of the school’s fundraising arm.  Gabe also served on the Ferguson Commission which made proposals to address racial injustice, economic unfairness and municipal court reform.  Currently, Gabe is Chairman of the Board of Governors at Missouri State University and has set diversity as a number one priority.  Gabe is also Chair of Dowd Bennett’s Diversity Committee which is essential to the firm’s hiring policies.  Founding partner Ed Dowd said, “Gabe is the conscience of the firm and has been part of making [hiring people of color and women] happen,” Dowd said. “He’s a total leader, willing to put in the time and effort to find people and give them a chance.”
