Dowd Bennett LLP Elects Sheena R. Hamilton Equity Partner
St. Louis, MO – Dowd Bennett LLP is proud to announce that Sheena R. Hamilton was elected equity partner in December 2019. Ms. Hamilton’s law practice concentrates on employment litigation and corporate internal investigations. She defends employers in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies across the United States. She tries cases alleging employment discrimination, harassment and retaliation, as well as wage and hour disputes, to verdict and through appeal. Ms. Hamilton regularly speaks and writes on employment and labor law. She presents to attorneys and human resources professionals on topics such as maintaining a respectful workplace, conducting workplace investigations, and creating and implementing privacy policies. She also has been quoted as an authority on matters involving employment and labor law by The New York Times, Law360, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM®), and the ABA Journal. She serves on the Board of Governors for the American Bar Association, the Board of Directors for the United Way of Greater St. Louis, and the Steering Committee for the Regional Business Council’s Young Professionals Network.
Prior to joining Dowd Bennett, Ms. Hamilton clerked for the then Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. She received her J.D. in 2010 from Saint Louis University School of Law and B.A. from Tennessee State University in 2005. She is admitted to practice law in Missouri, Illinois and before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri, Southern District of Illinois, and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
