Colorado Court Confirms Arbitration Award in Favor of Dowd Bennett Client

Colorado Court Confirms Arbitration Award in Favor of Dowd Bennett Client. The District Court for Denver County, Colorado confirmed an arbitration award in favor of Ernst & Young LLP.  The case had been brought by the bankruptcy trustee of eToys Direct, Inc. and alleged that Ernst & Young’s auditors breached the standard of care in its audit of the company, which filed for bankruptcy in 2008.  After hearing the evidence and considering arguments, the three-arbitrator panel ruled in favor of Ernst & Young and its audit team.  The hearing took place in October of 2011.  Dowd Bennett lawyers Jim Bennett and Megan Heinsz represented Ernst & Young in the hearing.
