As part of TFA sponsorship, Dowd Bennett Donates School Supplies to AESM Middle School @L’ouverture

Dowd Bennett is a proud sponsor of Teach for America (TFA) teacher Josh Stockton who teaches 8th grade at AESM Middle School @L’ouverture.   As part of this sponsorship, Dowd Bennett recently donated a large amount of pencils and paper to Josh’s class.  Upon receiving the supplies Josh said, “Thanks to the firm for the generosity!  This will save students from having to improvise our lessons due to lack of basic school supplies.  The kids and I were very excited.  This will definitely last the rest of the year.”

Teach for America is a national organization that places leaders in under-resourced schools to work with students, educators and community members.   Established in 1989, TFA has had 62,000 leaders in its program, many of them returning to their hometowns to teach.  After completing their work at TFA, many continue to work in education or areas that positively impact students in their communities.
