Defense Verdict in Louisiana State Court

After three weeks of trial in Louisiana state court, Jim Bennett, Megan Heinsz, and Arsenio Mims of Dowd Bennett LLP along with local counsel from Jones Walker won a defense verdict on behalf of a client that manufactures and markets transportation fuels and other petrochemical products in a personal injury case where the plaintiffs sought hundreds of millions of dollars in damages. The complaint in the case was filed on behalf of over 30 plaintiffs following a fire that occurred on April 23, 2022, at a refinery in Meraux, Louisiana.
