Brittainy Cavender focuses on civil litigation, where she uses her analytical background to help clients manage complex commercial and regulatory matters. Prior to joining Dowd Bennett, she served as a judicial law clerk in the Federal District Court. She began her legal career as an associate at Hogan Lovells, LLP in Washington D.C.
Brittainy brings a unique perspective to her practice, having worked as an operations research analyst for the U.S. Air Force (USAF) before law school, where she helped develop models to calculate the life cycle cost of USAF weapon systems, analyze USAF capabilities, and determine recruitment and retention needs.
While in law school, Brittainy worked as a student attorney in the Entrepreneurship and Intellectual Property clinic, giving startup businesses and nonprofits legal and business advice.
