Empower Missouri to Honor Partner Jamie Rehmann

On Thursday, October 5, 2017, Dowd Bennett partner Jamie Rehmann will receive The Rory Ellinger Award for Public Interest Litigation from Empower Missouri.  The award was established in 2015 to honor the memory of Rory Ellinger, a former state president, vice president and treasurer of Empower Missouri’s predecessor organization, Missouri Association for Social Welfare.

Empower Missouri has chosen Mr. Rehmann to be the 2017 recipient of the award, for his and the Firm’s pro bono work defending the City of St. Louis’ minimum wage ordinance, including obtaining a unanimous decision from the Missouri Supreme Court upholding the validity of the ordinance.
