Dowd Bennett wins in the Missouri Supreme Court on The Grain Belt Express Project

On July 17, 2018, the Missouri Supreme Court unanimously ruled that the Public Service Commission (PSC) erred in their decision denying Grain Belt Express a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity (CCN).  The Grain Belt Express is a 780-mile interstate electrical transmission project, which would move clean, low-cost wind power from western Kansas to Missouri, Illinois and Indiana.

Dowd Bennett Partners Jay Nixon and Jamie Rehmann presented oral arguments on June 12th in the Missouri Supreme Court after winning in the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District.

“Today’s unanimous ruling means Missourians are closer than ever to benefiting from clean, affordable energy and economic boost this transformational infrastructure project will deliver to the Show-Me-State,” Michael Skelly, CEO of Clean Line Energy, the Texas based company the Grain Belt Express said in a statement.
