Brian King received a Bachelor of Arts degree with Latin Honors from the University of Missouri - St. Louis. He received his law degree from Harvard Law School. During law school Mr. King competed in the Ames Moot Court Competition and was a member of the Recording Artist Project ("RAP"), in which he provided legal counseling to musical artists in the Boston area as well as to small publishing and record companies in other parts of New England.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. King served as an enlisted member of the United States Marine Corps. During his four-year enlistment, he worked primarily as a pay and personnel clerk, which entailed his management of the pay accounts of 1,400 enlisted personnel.

Upon completion of law school in 2005, Mr. King worked as an associate in the Washington D.C. office of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer and Feld LLP, where he assisted clients in matters relating to white collar criminal defense, antitrust litigation, patent litigation, First Amendment law, and business litigation. In 2006, Mr. King accepted a one-year appointment to serve as a judicial law clerk for Magistrate Judge Donald G. Wilkerson in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois.

His practice primarily focuses on complex civil litigation in federal and state court, white collar criminal defense, and corporate internal investigations. Mr. King is licensed in Illinois and is admitted in the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Missouri and the Southern District of Illinois.
